About this place
Held every year, this festival pays tribute to butifarra soledeña — the local peppery pork sausage, a point of culinary pride for the department — smoked over wood and served with lime and bollo, a steamed yuca dumpling wrapped in husk. Dozens of local producers bring their traditional recipes, and the event features Merecumbé dance performances and folk groups celebrating the identity of this historic town.
