During the San Pedro and San Pablo holiday weekend (June/July), the village of Pital de Megua turns into one giant kitchen. Thousands travel here to try pork, chicken, or mixed pasteles, slow-cooked over a wood fire and wrapped in bijao leaf. It's a taste of living culture and authentic flavor.
