Playa Pradomar, in Puerto Colombia, is the department's most popular surf spot thanks to its consistent wave formation, ideal for experienced surfers and first-timers alike. Beyond the waves, it's one of the coast's best spots for food, with oceanfront restaurants and bars serving cocktails and Caribbean cuisine at sunset, plus good lodging options close to Barranquilla. Tips: there are surf schools for every level; the waves tend to be stronger during trade-wind season (December–April).
