Salgarito, in Puerto Colombia, is a dark-sand beach that stretches for about 0.6 mi (1 km) alongside the Salgar area. There you can enjoy the sun, the sea, and a highly photogenic view, plus several spots to try local food right on the beach. Tips: pair it with a visit to the Castillo de Salgar and the Puerto Colombia waterfront promenade, both very close by. Getting there: 25 minutes from Barranquilla via the Vía al Mar.
