Salinas Sunset is much more than a kitesurf school: it's a beachfront complex combining a kite school, hostel, bar, and restaurant all in one place. Located at Salinas del Rey — the first Blue Flag sports beach in the Americas — the school is an official partner of Eleveight Kites, with instructors who have more than 10 years of international experience. Courses run in Spanish and English: Basic (10 hours), Mini (6 hours), and Coaching (2 hours), with a maximum of 3 students per instructor.
COP $250,000/hour (~USD $63) includes gear, instructor, helmet, vest, radios, insurance, and an optional IKO certificate. It's one of only 5 legally formalized schools on the Juan de Acosta coast. They also organize kite trips to Peru, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic.
