About this place
The Parador Gastronómico de Luruaco brings together some of the region's best traditional cooks preparing arepa de huevo with the ancestral recipe: yellow corn dough, a perfect fry, and the egg cooked just right. It's a simple place, run by Luruaco's well-known 'matronas,' and an essential stop for anyone traveling the Vía al Mar toward the south of the department. Tips: ask for the arepa fresh out of the fryer — it's served hot. Getting there: main entrance to Luruaco, on the Vía al Mar.
