The Parque Biotemático Megua, 9 mi (14 km) from Barranquilla in Galapa, is a 79-acre (32-hectare) tropical dry forest farm with domestic animals, mammals, birds, and reptiles, where you learn about the taxonomy and behavior of each species. Tips: a good half-day family plan, open mainly on weekends and holidays. Getting there: 20 minutes from Barranquilla via the Vía La Cordialidad.
