About this place
Punta Astilleros, in Piojó, has earned international recognition: in 2024, it ranked among the world's 10 best rural beaches in the Ranking Mejores Playas, thanks to its untouched beauty and its mangrove and native-palm ecosystems. Its land-use plan keeps it as a low-density destination with controlled visitor capacity, ideal for genuinely disconnecting away from the more crowded beaches. Tips: there are few services on site, so bring water, an umbrella, and cash.
